"It wasn''t intentional; I swear, the kiss was more like a smooch. I overreacted, but he was cool," she exined, with her eyebrows pulled upwards.
"Hmm, maybe he has started liking you. The only thing you need to do now is try to get on his good side and stab him in the back." Medusa said, grabbing Lucinda''s hand.
"It isn''t that easy; I tried killing him yesterday as per my husband''s instructions, but it was to no avail; he''s too vignt," Lucindained.
"Have you tried poisoning his food?" Medusa asked, raising her brow.
"Poison? No! I haven''t tried it, but since we both eat at a restaurant, I can''t just tell him," "Go, I want to poison your food, can I?" Lucinda asked bluntly.
"Here''s the deal," Medusa said, leaning in closer to Lucinda and whispering something into her ear. Lucinda''s eyes widened.
"Are you nuts?!" Lucinda yelled, looking at Medusa with stunned eyes.
"Please, you just need to give it a try," Medusa said, squeezing something into Lucinda''s hand.
Lucinda got up from the bed and shoved the thing into her bag, then walked out of the room, heading to the bathroom. She turned on the shower and stripped naked, walking into the shower stall. Minutester,
She finished bathing and walked out of the bathroom in a bathrobe with her hair tied like a turban. She entered the bedroom, walking toward the wardrobe, when her phone beeped. She rushed to it on the nightstand and grabbed it; it was a text from Ralph.
"Are you awake? I hope you slept well?" He texted. A beautiful smile formed on her face.
"Yes, thank you for bringing me back home," she replied. Medusa snatched the phone from her, ncing at the text.
"Go put on your clothes before you will bete for work," she snapped. Lucinda groaned and went to the wardrobe. She took out a blue crop top and a ck pair of jeans and let down her towel as she started wearing the top. "What''s a club?" She inquired.
"A club is where humans go to have fun, dance, and drink something they consider "living the good life." Medusa beamed.
"A colleague invited me to a club after work; I agreed to go, but I don''t know what a club is." Lucinda muttered.
"You can go and have fun, but don''t drink; you can''t handle it." Medusa warned. Lucinda pouted her lips. "You know I don''t know how to drink, and my husband won''t allow me to drink either." Lucinda replied and dragged her jeans up her legs, buckling them.
She wore white sneakers and took a bag from the wardrobe. "How do I look?" she asked Medusa, who gave her a thumbs up.
"Seductive, don''t make your boss go crazy for you with all these sexy clothes you are wearing; your majesty won''t like that," Medusa teased.
"Is it my fault that I look good in human clothing?" Lucinda responded.
"Go away! You naughty girl, I need to sleep." Medusa stated. She copsed on the bed with her hands crossed behind her head.N?velDrama.Org owns this text.
"Aren''t I going to eat? Lucinda asked.
"Order something and go," she scoffed.
*******
Lucinda walked into the office and saw Ralph sitting on his desk, wearing silver armor and holding a sheath of a sword in one hand and another hanging on his back. He drew the sheath from his back and stared at her, his green eyes glowing. She looked at him with her mouth slightly open in surprise.
"Are you ready?" he asked, walking toward her in the middle of the office. Lucinda gulped as she noticed that he looked extremely handsome in the armor.
"To go where?" she asked, confused.
"To the first volcano, dummy, or did you forget? And what are you wearing?" He inquired, scanning her body with his eyes, mesmerized by her beauty for a second before shaking his head. "Go change into something more appealing." He stated.
"But I didn''t bring any other clothes," she replied; he chuckled.
"That''s not a problem. You are wee to borrow one of my armors. It''s in that closet over there." He said pointing at a door that was close to Lucinda''s desk. She thought that was where he was putting his documents, but she was wrong; it made her shudder a little.
"Aren''t we going to feed Deacon?" She asked bluntly.
"We will do thatter," he said, walking back to his desk and sitting on the edge, waving her to go put on something else. She avoided his gaze and walked into the door, surprised as she saw that there were only weapons and armor in the room, and it was bigger than she anticipated. After struggling to wear a silver armor that was very heavy, she ambled out of the room and into the office.
"It''s quite heavy. Why do I need to wear this too?" she inquired.
"For protection, and since you don''t have any power like me, you would need it." Ralph replied.
"But it''s just a volcano. Why do we need protection?" She asked.
"I know it won''t be easy to get a sapphire, and my first target is Hawaii," he stated.
"Are we going to Hawaii?" she inquired.
"Of course," he replied, taking her hand in his.
"Does that mean you can teleport to different countries?" She inquired.
"Shh, you talk too much," he said, holding tightly to her hand and teleporting them out of there and to the front of a volcano in Hawaii. The area was windy and empty; there was no one living around the volcano, which was a great thing. Ralph scanned the volcano with his eyes and spotted the entrance, walking toward it as Lucinda pulled her hand out of his grip, watching him go alone. He paused and looked back at her.
"Why aren''t youing? Are you afraid? Don''t worry; I will protect you," he said, stretching his hand toward her. She refused to take his hand and walked behind him.
They arrived at the entrance of the volcano; they could already feel the heating from it. Ralph drew his swords out of their sheaths-a normal sword and the emerald sword. Lucinda opened her mouth wide in surprise. "Follow me closely," he said, walking slowly into the volcano. Looking sideways.
