?Chapter 701:

    Hank, wary of overstepping, nodded.

“I’ll go see Gareth first and update you if there are any changes.”

    “Good.”

Gareth’s arrival in Warrington was critical enough to necessitate immediate confinement. Given his knowledge of sensitive information from the international offices and his eagerness for a meeting, it was clear that he had significant matters to discuss.

However, Caden prioritized his dinner with Alicia over this pressing business. He had booked their usual table at their favorite restaurant.

What was meant to be an hour was cut to forty minutes because of continuous phone calls.

    Alicia was thoughtful.

“You should head out. We’re done eating anyway.”

    Caden inhaled deeply.

“Stay here for a bit. I’ll arrange for the driver toe get you.”

Alicia stood to bid him farewell in silence.

The air had turned colder. The rain had been falling for days, prompting Alicia to fasten Caden’s coat tightly around him.

Caden perceived her hesitancy and concern. He caressed her hand gently, asking, “Do you miss me?”

With augh, Alicia looked up at him.

“We’re together all the time. Is there something to miss?”

Though she spoke lightly, their eyes locked intensely, neither willing to be the first to look away. Each moment seemedden with significance, as though they wished to fuse together and remain so forever.

“I do miss you, Caden. How much longer will thisst? When will we be out of this chaos?” Alicia asked inwardly.

With a sense of reluctance, Caden pressed her delicate hand, saying, “My uncle knew about the situation and made it to Joy Mansionst night. His support will help me rx a bit.”

Alicia inquired, “How can I support you?”

“Just keep yourself well and healthy,” Caden responded with a carefree, charming smile.

“After this is all over, I n to spoil you rotten, keeping you in bed for days.”

    Alicia yfully punched him.

“You’re not just hoping for a daughter; you’re clearly following your own desires.”

    Caden didn’t argue.

“I often think back to our time in the car. It seems getting ready for a baby will need about six months if I’m to be fully ready.”

In the car, when he reached his climax, he felt he was in paradise. Such a feelingsted for several minutes.

    Alicia’s cheeks turned pink.

    “You dream big.”
